Rachel Stone is the heart of our youth program at Chess—a gifted educator who blends patience, enthusiasm, and expertise into every lesson. With a background in primary education and over 15 years teaching chess to kids, Rachel has helped hundreds of young players develop a love for the game while building lifelong skills in focus, logic, and perseverance.

Rachel believes that every child can learn chess—and thrive doing it. Her sessions are energetic and engaging, filled with puzzles, stories, challenges, and just enough competition to keep kids motivated without overwhelming them. She creates a safe, inclusive space where young minds can explore and grow.

Achievements:
  • Creator of the “Smart Moves” curriculum used in 30+ schools
  • Former elementary teacher with certification in child development
  • Coach of 5 regional youth chess champions (ages 8–12)
  • Featured speaker at the National Youth Chess Education Conference (2022)
